Her most famous work is her roles as the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz and Spamalot in the West End. For her work she has been nominated for three Olivier Awards. In 2015, she joined the Game of Thrones cast as Septa Unella, the fifth season's sixth season. In addition to her main part as Septa Unella as well, she was also an ensemble actor in the film adaptation that was made in 2012 of Les Miserables as well as the 2018 British psychological thriller Winter Ridge. Waddingham is nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Waddingham has been nominated in the Golden Globe Awards.
