Krystal Marie Ball
Krystal Marie Balm (born November 24 in 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a presidential candidate, and also hosting a TV show on MSNBC, a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former co-host of the show The Hill's Rising alongside Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball announced their intention to leave the show in May 2021 and launch Breaking Points, a new independent venture with Krystal and Saagar. Ball is a cohost on Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has appeared as a guest on networks such as CNN, CNBC, Fox News and shows like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball got married to Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball attributes her continued interest in politics and her experiences as a new mother in the 2008 primaries. She also followed the US presidential election from Jordan when she was working there. She was able to observe how the election affected the citizens of the country, and came to appreciate for US politics' global impact. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st district. She lost to Rob Wittman in 2010. She was the host of The Cycle on MSNBC from June 2012 to July 2015. She created the People's House Project, an organization that promotes Democratic causes in May 2017.
